Google My Business is a free tool to help eligible businesses – read our digest of the guidelines to see if your business is – whether they have a shop on a high street, or are running a business from home, stand out on Google Search or Maps.
We offer two services in this area, the first being a one-off charge to either help set up and optimise your profile, or optimise an existing profile, the other is an ongoing retainer to ensure your profile is updated at a frequency agreed by both parties.
Why is it important?
The majority of all search queries, with local intent e.g. [window cleaner haywards heath], particularly when completed on a mobile device, generate a local pack (as below) on the search engine result page (SERP).
Creating and optimising a Google My Business profile for your business won’t necessarily ensure your business will rank for relevant searches, there are many factors which influence this, but proximity i.e. the distance the searcher is away from your business, is a hugely important factor in the algorithm, so it makes sense to have one!
In addition, creating a profile for your business might result in a Knowledge Panel being returned on the SERPs for branded, and potentially non-branded search queries, in your location.
A Knowledge Panel, as seen on the right hand side of the screenshot below, provides a fantastic opportunity to improve visibility of your business online.
This really depends on which service you’re looking for us to carry out for you. If you haven’t claimed your profile, we’ll work with you to set it up using your Google account, ask you to complete our bespoke form and to supply the relevant images.
