Google My Business is a free tool that businesses can use to promote themselves and their content for search queries with location-based intent, for example, [seamstress near me].
Google, and businesses like yours and mine both win by using it. Businesses that have an up-to-date, optimised profile, stand more chance of ranking on the maps you sometimes see on the search engine results pages (SERPs), for searches relevant to their business.
Google on the other hand, effectively have tens of thousands of businesses working for them, to ensure the data they hold (they call it their Knowledge Graph), is up-to-date, accurate, and is likely to provide their users with a good experience.
One to ponder – but I wouldn’t ponder it for too long because you’re going to give Google the information anyway, we all do – is that if Google provide enough, useful information about a business right there in their search engine, then their users have less reason to click through to the websites they’re ranking on the SERPs. They stay on the search engine longer, and Google like that.
But this an aside, I’m here to announce the launch of two new Google My Business optimisation services.
But first you might be wondering, why now? if you’re not, please humour me, it won’t take long.
Google have released a stack of new features in Google My Business over the last couple of years. When the tool was launched back in 2014 it was simply a case of completing the required fields and you were done. But there’s a lot more to it of late. Optimising your profile is the first part, keeping it up-to-date, and enjoying the associated benefits of doing so is, ahem, part two.
You won’t be surprised to hear that our new services are designed to assist business owners, who probably don’t have the time to dedicate to this.
We’ve designed some affordable packages to optimise and manage your Google My Business profiles, and would love the opportunity to speak to you about them.
So if this is of interest, please do get in touch.
